Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study
Joining the Society

Membership in the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study is open to all parties with a scholarly interest in the Nordic region. Membership in the society is negotiated on a calendar-year basis, beginning January 1, and its benefits include: four issues of Scandinavian Studies, the journal of the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study; SASS News & Notes, the society newsletter (usually published three times per year); the opportunity to participate in the annual SASS conference; and other benefits.

Membership is available in several categories (listed prices are for domestic US postal delivery): Regular ($55), Student ($30), or Retired ($30). Institutional subscriptions to Scandinavian Studies can be purchased for $85 annually for print only, $100 for electronic only, and $115 for combined print and electronic access. Delivery destinations in Mexico and Canada add $10 to the cost, and international destinations, $30. Individual Life Memberships are available for $750 ($900 for international delivery).

Membership and subscription services are handled by the journal's publisher, University of Illinois Press. New subscriptions can be processed through the UIP website: http://www.press.uillinois.edu/journals/ss.html. Renewal reminders for existing members are sent early in the calendar year and include a membership number for reference when using the online renewal system, also found at the UIP website for the journal.
